Mr. Prince added a pergola to his outdoor property, and decided that a retractable canopy would make the perfect finishing touch. He called us about Lutron smart products, particularly our motorized awnings and pergola canopies, with the intent of ordering one if suitable.
We started the project by having a look at the uncovered pergola to take a measure of its size, placement, and aesthetics. The distance of the pergola from the house and power system made a motorized canopy a difficult prospect. However, Mr. Prince had already been thinking about adding an outdoor refrigerator, stove, and lights to the platform. Combined with the aforementioned, the prospect of a motorized pergola canopy was enough to make him lay down a power cord. We installed the Lutron motorized opener using the new power system and used it to house an ornamental forest-patterned canopy.
